8th Street Mission is a Multi-denominational Journey into the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that every member of our churches are missionaries. With that belief, it’s up to us to help integrate (disciple) their life with God into a life for God through their workplace and in the community in which they live.

Be the Church

Wholistic Transformation is a powerful thought. As a medical definition, that is, the treating of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the physical symptoms of a disease.

From a spiritual perspective – wholistic transformation is life changing. Believing that the total effectiveness of a group of things each interacting with one another is different and greater than their effectiveness when acting in isolation from one another, my conclusion would be that Clean Socks Hope and the 8th Street Mission has tapped into something unique.  Other missions tend to focus on one side or the other, either lending all efforts toward social movements or toward spiritual development.  The 8th Street Mission, capitalizing on the work experience of the past 5 years, combined with wholistic transformation training principles, stands poised to merge both to affect the Midtown New Albany neighborhood in a powerful way that can only be attributed to the movement of God.
